In the midst of all the violence, Ari and Leslie, still members of the Jewish Brigade, part company. Ari decides to guide his people towards a promised land that is finally becoming a reality, while Leslie continues his Nazi hunt. Both are trying to find a sense of meaning after the horrors of war.
