In the hustle and bustle of today's busy world, sometimes it's hard enough to hear yourself think, much less take a minute to stop and listen for the voice of God. But learning to recognize God's voice and the many ways in which He speaks is vital for following His plan. In How to Hear from God, Joyce Meyer shows readers that God reaches out to people every day, seeking a partnership with them to offer guidance and love. She reveals the ways in which God delivers His word and the benefits of asking God for the sensitivity to hear His voice. Joyce asks the question, "Are you listening?" and shares how to do just that.

I found this book to be informative, insightful and encouraging. If there is one flaw for me, it is the writer's choice of bible version used to quote scriptures. She chose the Amplified bible which, with its added defining words written in brackets or parentheses within the text, made it difficult to read. I found those added definitions distracting from the flow of the passage and I don't think it helped in my understanding of the passages since tome, the meanings are clear. I don't doubt that some readers will find it helpful, but for me it was a constant annoyance throughout the entire book. Much of the principles the writer talks about have been written about before: to hear God's voice one must delve deeply into His word, spend quiet time with Him and put Him first in Everything!
